Q: How do I book an appointment?

 A:  You can book an appointment from the top of any of our webpages on this site by clicking on the Book Appt button or by clicking this provided link https://atelier-sean-m-horton-main-studio-6202.square.site/

Q: Where are you located?

A: We are located at 6202 Raytown Rd, Raytown MO 64133. Across the street from the midcontinent library.

Q: How do I start the Process of getting a custom garment made?

A: The process starts with Scheduling a consultation. You can schedule a consultation by clicking the Book Appt button at the top of any page or by clicking this provided link https://atelier-sean-m-horton-main-studio-6202.square.site/

Q: Can you duplicate a garment from another designer?

A: We will not make an exact duplicate of another designer’s garment. But we can make a similar style for you. The goal of Sean M Horton Atelier is that you have a custom garment that was designed and created specifically for you.

Q: How long are the consultations?

A: Consultations are usually 45 mins to an hour.

Q: What happens at the consultation?

A: At your consultation we will discuss your design options, take your measurements and choose your fabrics and trims for your custom gown/garment. We have 100’s of fabrics in stock for you to choose from. This is one of the most exciting parts of the process. At your consultation you will also pay your deposit which will be the cost to cover all fabric and materials needed to complete your garment.

Q: Q: How many fittings will there be?

 A:  There is usually 1 fitting but for more intricate styles there can be up to 2 fittings to ensure the perfect fit for your garment.

Q: What do I wear to get my measurements taken and to fittings?

We advise you to wear fitted garments. Women usually wear leggings and tank tops for measurements.

Q: How long does it take to make a custom suit / Tux?

 A: The total process of making a custom 2-3 piece suit or tux takes 4-6 weeks

 

Q: How long does it take to make a custom blazer?

 A: The total process of making a custom blazer takes 4-6 weeks

 

Q: How long does it take to make a custom shirt or pants?

 A: The complete process to make a custom shirt /pants take 3-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the shirt/pants

 

Q: What fabric choices are available?

A: We have 100’s of fabrics in stock to choose from.

 

Q: What type of custom garments do you make?

 A: We make custom shoes, suits, tuxedos, blazers, shirts, custom ties, bow ties, coats and jackets for both men and women.

Q: How much do custom garments cost?

Q: Do you allow walk-ins?

A: Currently, we do not allow walk ins. Every customer needs to make an appointment so that we can have fabrics and services ready for each individual client for their custom garment.

Q: Do you do alterations?

A: We only provide alterations for garments that we have made for clients. We do not provide an alteration service for garments purchased elsewhere.

Q: Can I bring someone to my consultation and or Fittings?

 A: Yes, you can! You can bring up to 4 people with you.

Q: Do you make custom clothing for kids?

 A: Yes, we make custom clothing for kids ages 4 and up.

 

Q: Do you deliver garments?

A: We do have a delivery service. The delivery service is $49.95

 

Q: How any measurements are taken to make my custom garment?

A: We take up to 28 measurements to make your custom garment to ensure a perfect fit.

 

Q: How long does a fitting take?

 A: A fitting can take up to 30 mins depending on the garment/garments we have made for you.

 

Q: What forms of payment do you take?

 A. We accept all major Credit cards, Debit cards, Cash, Venmo, Cash-app, Zelle payments and Apple pay.

 

Q: When will I have to pay my deposit?

A: Deposits are usually paid after the Consultation, but the deposit just needs to be paid prior to us starting the work on your garment.

 

Q: Will I have to pay a deposit?

A: Yes, you will have to pay a deposit to cover the cost of materials and fabrics needed to complete your garment. This is usually 30%-%50 of the garment cost.
